COMMUNICATION AND PRESS COMMITTEE
SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE
The Scientific Committee seeks to foster and stimulate the development of the scientific thinking of the Society through the organization of activities and events of interest.
The Committee also promotes relations with other national and international Societies. It is an advisory, non-executive, body and its proposals have to be approved by the Board of Directors.

TRAINING COMMITTEE
The Training Committee is the body of the SEP which makes all the decisions referred to the acceptance of candidates and their training process: admission to begin training to become a psychoanalyst, authorization to begin a case of supervised analysis and acceptance of the candidate’s end of training paper.
Alongside these basic functions, it works with the Institute of Psychoanalysis in the confection of the training programme and also suggests changes in psychoanalytical training regulations that are voted in the SEP Members Assembly.
The Training Committee proceeds in a collegial manner. Individual interviews are made before making decisions, and valuations are discussed within the Committee as a whole before an agreement is reached. The members composing the Training Committee are elected by the SEP Member Assembly and are periodically renewed.

PROMOTION COMMITTEE
The SEP Promotion Committee has as its task to evaluate the aptitudes of those members whom after a period of clinical experience want to obtain full member accreditation.
To perform this task the Committee will consider the aspirant’s clinical experience as well as his or her capacity to elaborate theoretically on the therapeutic process.
The Promotion Committee can confer training functions to full members who after a period of psychoanalytical practice wish to undertake candidate analyses, lead clinical seminars or supervise training cases.

ETHICS COMMITTEE
The Committee on Ethics is a body that depends on the Board of Directors and is voted by the Members Assembly. Its aims are to:
1) Promote debate and elaboration on issues related to ethics that may come up in psychoanalytical practice and social interactions.
2) Intervene in the study and elaboration of reports related to problematical issues produced by the possible infringement of the Ethical-Deontological Code of the SEP.
3) Update the by-laws and internal regulations related to the Ethical-Deontological code.
4) Any other situation requiring the intervention of the Committee.
5) Promote reflexion and debate on psychoanalytic and other issues which currently bear a social, biological and cultural interest.
6) Stimulate dialogue and interdisciplinary work to avoid reductionism and widen the scope of comprehension of the human being and his context.

COMISIÓN DE PUBLICACIONES
La Comisión de Publicaciones tiene el objetivo de realizar una reflexión periódica sobre la política de publicaciones de la SEP, además de presentar las propuestas que considere pertinentes a la Junta en relación a esta cuestión.
También sirve de espacio para coordinar las distintas publicaciones de la SEP, especialmente, las revistas TEMAS DE PSICOANÁLISIS y Revista Catalana de Psicoanàlisi.
Finalmente, trabaja para divulgar y estimular las publicaciones de los miembros de la SEP tanto dentro como fuera de la sociedad.

COMISSIÓ DE LA WEB
La Comissió té com objectiu impulsar una pàgina web de la SEP per tal de divulgar el coneixement de la Psicoanàlisi i afavorir la interacció, comunicació i diàleg entre els membres de la SEP, les seves comissions i altres Societats Científiques. Actualitza periòdicament els seus continguts.

COMMUNICATION AND PRESS COMMISSION
The Communication and Press Commission is in charge of supervising the fulfillment of the Communication Plan of the society. Its main goal is to promote and broadcast the events, conferences and congresses organized by the SEP. It also seeks to present to the general public the history and traditions of the entity as well as the training options offered by the institution and the publications edited by the SEP.
The Commission works to efficiently reach the broad spectrum of current and future professionals in the fields of psychoanalysis and mental health. It also focuses on aiming the mass media and specialized shows targeting an audience potentially interested in psychoanalysis and its practical applications.
