The Catalan Journal of Psychoanalysis Conference
In 1986, the SEP organized the first Catalan Journal of Psychoanalysis Conference. These Conferences seek to extend psychoanalytical knowledge and foster scientific exchange between psychoanalysts and other professionals working in different fields of applied psychoanalysis. The CJP Conferences are intimately related to The Catalan Journal of Psychoanalysis and the papers presented in the Conference are published in the Journal.
After 23 editions, the CJP Conferences have become a reference meeting point for numerous professionals working in different areas, not only health but also education and social fields amongst others. These meetings are open to students, and are a place to meet and exchange with experienced professionals.
The Conference is held annually on the fourth Saturday of November.

The SEP Debates
The SEP Debates is an event that aims to promote reflexion and debate on current themes or issues bearing social and cultural interest. It endeavours to near psychoanalytic thinking to society and to stimulate debate in an open and participative multidisciplinary context, building bridges and collaboration with other professionals.
The SEP Debates are held annually, towards the end of May or beginning June, and consist of two parts. On a Friday evening, an artistic event related to the debated issue or theme is performed and then followed by a general discussion with the artists. The following day, on Saturday morning, a roundtable is organized with members of the Spanish Psychoanalytical Society and other professionals from the fields of mental health, culture and other disciplines related to the issue under debate. During the activity our priority is to stimulate the debate between members of the roundtable and the public attending the SEP Debates.

The SEP Andalusia Group organizes a theoretical and clinical Conference on Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy that is held annually and takes place at different Andalusian provinces.
